Goal Clarity/Dynamics/Balance Work , Life, Family/

/Breaking Through Barriers

It’s difficult seeing you leave us after having made such an impact on our school – in every sense of the word. Thank you for going beyond the call of duty.  Thank you for being an independent, critical thinker who made my job so much easier.  Henshilwood feels your loss greatly but knows that you have given us some of the best years of your life.  I have appreciated your honesty but, above all, your integrity and loyalty.

I met Shannon after being diagnosed with Bi Polar. I came from a life riddled

with anger, substance abuse and co-dependency.  I was out of control and

fighting to keep my head above the water. In a loving and compassionate

manner, she has helped me to identify the destructive behaviour patterns and

traumatic events that contributed to my Bi Polar and depression. Most

importantly, Shannon has taught me how to change these destructive patterns

and replace them with positive, healthy, self-affirming ones. She has helped

me to discover a much stronger, confident and self-loving person within

myself and become the best woman that I can. She always senses when I may be

stumbling on my path of growth and offers kind and gentle insights that are

beacons of light in my dark times. She always knows exactly the right

questions to ask and offers the tools I need to make positive steps forward.

No matter how I may have felt upon entering her office, I always feel better

when I leave. My family relationships have improved and my career continues

to blossom. I am healthier and happier than I have been in over 10 years. I

totally attribute my growth to working with Shannon. She has been a huge

blessing in my life.

Shannon and I always managed to find some humour and perspective in any situation and she always had my back.  She went where angels feared to tread.  Sharing a post can be very difficult but Shannon always made it easy.  She never let me down and always came through for me and the children.
